There's been a lot of speculation about the plot of Prometheus, Ridley Scott's long awaited prequel of sorts to Alien.
By now chances are you'll have watched the trailer a few times and are speculating about what on - or off Earth - is going on.
So here's my theory.
Either the ampules in the big giant head chamber contain goo that transforms humans into aliens, or it's primordial soup that will transform the Earth at the dawn of time via that good old sci-fi staple device, time travel.
We know the alien ship is destined for Earth, but we don't know when, so wouldn't it be rather cool if the craft crashed on a prehistoric Earth, the alien goo kick started evolution, and human life evolved from those star creatures?
Or maybe Damon Lindelof has come up with a better idea.
Either way, i'm just keeping my fingers crossed that the Imax screenings for June 1 haven't sold out.
